Overview

Transceiver Photonics Low Bandwidth High Bandwidth

Available commercial solutions fall short in meeting the unique challenges faced in military, avionics, intelligence, clean energy, and industrial applications where distinctive solutions are required for optical data communication and control/sensor interconnects including the need for high bandwidth and operation in harsh environments including wide temperature ranges, high electromagnetic interference (EMI), and high shock and vibration.

Zephyr Photonics strives to be the premier supplier of optical communication and control/sensor interconnects enabled by our advanced optoelectronic technologies.

Zephyr Photonics’ unique VCSEL technology and proven prototyping capability, combined with a broad set of optoelectronic building blocks, enables design and production of a variety of optical interconnect products to address numerous application challenges. Managing the entire product development process increases Zephyr Photonics’ agility and ability to provide critical customer solutions.

CWDM enables higher data rates over single multimode fibers using robust multimode connectors eliminating the need for fiber ribbon while still being compatible with current fiber installations. Data communication is also possible over wider temperature ranges of up to -55°C to 125°C versus 0°C to 70°C for most commercially available solutions. Zephyr Photonics’ optical control and sensor interconnects are designed for harsh environments, and improve size, weight, and power (SWaP) while reducing EMI vulnerability.
