Zephyr Photonics’ advanced VCSEL optical technology is natively designed for optimal high-speed performance over a wide temperature range (-40°C to +125°C or even higher). This results in better performance and reliability of its optical components.
Our VCSEL technology can be installed into small form factors and chip-scale as well as chip-to-chip level packaging because it can handle wide temperature ranges, resulting in smaller, lighter optical components. Our advanced design allows for minimal power draw while achieving optimal performance at high temperatures providing SWaP benefits for the application.
Our VCSELs support transmissions ranging from DC sensor level in/outputs up to 10 Gbps per channel while operating at up to 125°C. Operation at 5 Gbps is possible at 150°C or even higher. This performance enables optical interconnects in applications that are not possible with commercially available 850 nm VCSELs.
- We offer 4 Gbps and 10 Gbps VCSELs that are both flip-chip and wire bond compatible. (Customized designs for VCSELs to support specific applications are possible)
